Project description

The project in detail.

Contemporary New Build Home

This contemporary new-build home combines a bold architectural form with a restrained, natural material palette. The design uses vertically laid dark timber cladding to create a refined monolithic appearance, while deep window reveals and carefully positioned openings add depth and articulation to the elevations.

Extensive ground-floor glazing connects the principal living spaces directly with the landscaped garden and surrounding woodland. Internally, the open-plan kitchen, dining and living areas benefit from generous natural light and wide views across the site, while the upper floor provides greater privacy through a more controlled arrangement of windows.

A wraparound timber terrace extends the living space outdoors and creates a seamless transition between the house and garden. The result is a confident, energy-conscious family home that responds sensitively to its setting while delivering bright, flexible and contemporary accommodation.
