A 3D concept study exploring high-end detached homes within a landscaped residential setting. Beckside Mews combines traditional brick-and-stone detailing, slate pitched roofs and generous individual plots, with private driveways and planted front gardens.

The project in detail.
Individual detached homes
The study explores substantial two-storey detached houses with traditional proportions and individual architectural character. Warm brick, pale stone surrounds, slate roofs and carefully composed bay windows create a coherent family of homes, with clear separation between buildings.
A landscaped residential setting
The visualisation places the houses along a residential street, with private driveways, set-back garages and planted front gardens. Low hedges, trees and a shared palette of materials explore how individual homes could contribute to an attractive neighbourhood.
Developing the architecture
Further design would test the external form alongside internal layouts, daylight, privacy and the relationship between rooms and entrances. Window proportions, roof junctions and material choices would then be refined as the house designs develop.
Concept status
Beckside Mews is a self-initiated early design study by Hepburn Architects. It explores an approach to residential development in the North East and is not a commissioned or approved scheme.
